Come join us on our trip

the Kutnick's version of the GAP year Journal

February 17, 2026

This month, we began talking about our next trip. In May, we are heading to Ireland, France, and back to Switzerland, a place that changed my story forever.

Over the last few trips, I went quiet online while Lance posted pictures on Facebook.  Part of me has always wrestled with sharing this part of our lives. It can feel showy, and the last thing I want is for anyone to see our travels as a highlight reel of a perfect life, because it is far from that. We are deeply aware of how fortunate we are to have the opportunity to take these trips, and we do not take that lightly.

But so many dear friends have begged me not to be quiet. They want us to document our journeys, not to show off, but to inspire, to share what we are learning, and to bring you along in a way that feels real. So here we are.

My hope is that this page becomes a place where you find something useful, whether that is a destination you have been curious about, a practical tip that saves you some trouble, or just an honest account of what travel actually looks like for us. Not every moment is graceful, and we plan to share that too. If even one trip, one place, or one story nudges you toward your own adventure, then this will have been worth it.

We’re back on the move as we begin Part Four of “Where in the World are The Kutnicks.”

We started our trip at a beautiful wedding for our good friends’ daughter, then boarded our flight to Dublin. We arrived at 8:30am and made our way to our home exchange. This year we’ve signed up for Home Exchange, and we’re staying in a cute home in the Docklands Quarter, which is close to Temple Bar and other local excursions. After a short cat nap, we headed over to Pearse St where Lance grabbed a pint and I enjoyed some cottage pie.

The weather has been going back and forth between lovely and misty — very on-brand for Dublin!

That is all I have in me for today. I am too tired to write.
